A business visitor is someone who comes to Canada to participate in international business activities, but who will not join the Canadian labour market. Business visitors usually stay for a few days or a few weeks.

Common Activities
As a business visitor, you can:
- Attend meetings, conferences, or trade shows.
- Buy Canadian goods or services for a foreign business or government.
- Take orders for goods or services.
- Provide after-sales service (not involving manual labor).
- Receive training from a Canadian parent company or branch.
Requirements
To qualify as a business visitor, you must prove that:
- You plan to stay for less than 6 months.
- You do not plan to enter the Canadian labour market.
- Your main place of business and source of income is located outside Canada.
- You meet Canada’s basic entry requirements (valid passport, adequate funds, no criminal record).
